Meet Nathan

I’m Nathan Cowan—founder of TallMark and a lifelong believer in helping people and businesses grow by leaning into what makes them unique.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve been fortunate to work at companies that soared—and others that underachieved or failed. Both taught me something.

I’ve built sales teams, developed go-to-market strategies, and coached individual contributors and leaders at every level. And I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that being elite at one thing is far more impactful than being okay at many.

Turning 50, getting honest

This year, I turned 50—which comes with reflection, back pain, and the sobering realization that my shot at being cool may have passed.

But it’s also brought perspective.

I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what people really need when they’re trying to grow into something bigger—whether that’s a team, a company, or a new version of themselves.

How I work

I’m not big on buzzwords. I’m not chasing trends or whatever’s “hot” this quarter. I am big on:

  • Asking better questions

  • Understanding how you define success

  • Working through real-world scenarios

  • Solving for the real problem

  • Helping good people become great—and great people become elite leaders

Why it matters

I bring the same commitment to growth, accountability, and real progress to my clients that I do to my players and family.
